Meet the #SanteWadeSquad - Episode 1
Want to know who else is buying Sante + Wade shoes? Welcome to the section of our stories where we introduce you to the fabulous women who inspire us to make the best shoes possible.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself please?
Hi, my name is Helen Cox. I’m a size 9 and I am 183cm (6 feet) tall.
I work as a marketing consultant and run my own practice; typically supporting professional service companies with marketing strategy and management.
My personal style is casual chic. At the moment my favourite brand is Mint Velvet, and this really sums up my look. As much of my work is client facing, and I network a lot, it’s important I look smart, but also approachable.
What’s the biggest misconception about women who wear larger sized shoes?
I don’t know whether there is a misconception about it but, when people ask me my shoe size, they just kind of gasp when they answer; as if they’re saying, “you poor thing….”
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done to fit in a pair of shoes?
Once I tried to stretch some shoes out with a newspaper. Needless to say, it wasn’t successful.
What’s the dumbest and most tall shaming comment anyone’s ever made about your height/shoe size?
Not tall shaming but someone once asked me if they could shave my legs for me…. No, no you can’t.
What are your favourite Sante + Wade shoes?
I like the Mori black and white pump. You can wear them with smart clothes. but they could also look quite nice jazzing up an outfit with jeans. Also, they would look great with skinny jeans as well as with my smarter Hugo Boss Trousers, as they have a longer leg!
