Every year, during the first two weeks in July, all eyes are fixed on this corner of South West London, home to the oldest and most prestigious tennis championship in the world.

The tournament attracts royalty and celebrities, avid sports fans and enthusiasts from around the country, many of whom don't actually give tennis a second thought for fifty weeks of the year!

Over the fortnight, these supporters arrive in their thousands, camping overnight, outside the All England Tennis Club for the chance to catch a glimpse of the likes of Serena Williams and Roger Federer, gladiators of the sport.

How to Ace Wimbledon Style

The focus is always on the matches and there are strict dress codes for the competitors. Crisp tennis whites are mandatory but some players still manage to make some bold sartorial choices despite these constraints.

For spectators, the dress code is pretty relaxed but it is still a brilliant chance to dress up. It’s not Ladies Day at Royal Ascot – so keep those fascinators in their boxes, but a hand-held fan and sunnies are an absolute must.
